It was a "Girls Night In" at the home which happened to coincide with a birthday party for Alana, our friend and resident manager. For a change...junk food was on the menu and pajamas were encouraged in the middle of the day! (Most of the residents were allowed to dress normally so as not to cause any undue confusion for those suffering dementia. How thoughtful!) But boy did the staff have a ball with being able to wear outlandish outfits. And the residents delighted in the pure joy of the festive mood of the day.
Madeline, or Aunt Mac, or Grandma Mac, an industrious Catholic woman, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a pioneer of sorts, a woman connected to the earth, and a loved human being requests the pleasure of your company.
